We are often asked during Energise 2-0 workshops what is the next big thing on the Internet?
Our answer is usually two-fold.
First, the majority of organisations are not even using existing technologies well. Focus on developing and implementing an agreed digital business strategy using already available tools and technologies – a digital strategy fully aligned with and supportive of agreed business goals and objectives.
Second, while your focus should be on the ‘here and now’, it is clearly important to plan for the future. Closely monitor emerging technologies and their potential impact on your business. One of the most important of these is IoT – the Internet of Things.
