Social Media and Football

Football fans, social mediaAs regular readers of this blog will know, one of our great passions is the potential of Social Media for building fan engagement in the sports industry, especially football (soccer to our North American readers :-)). Indeed, in one of our previous posts we asked whether the concept of fan engagement was itself becoming dated and should be replaced by fan ownership, with social media being used to wrench control from rich oligarchs destroying our 'beautiful game'.
