Our most recent update (8th February) of the Facebook League Table for the Top 20 European Football Clubs suggested that both Real Madrid and Manchester United would soon overtake Barcelona in terms of ‘liker’ numbers. Barcelona, however, had just launched a Messi video aimed at increasing the number of ‘likers’ to 10 million. This target was met on Saturday evening. The current number of ‘likers’ for the other two teams are Real Madrid (9,307,683) and Manchester Utd (9,785,982) so Barcelona remain in pole position.
